Regrettable Software&Game Purchases

Buying Software used to have more quality control in the days before "investor driven deadlines" and "day 1 patches" were a thing.

Bad games. Unplayable even ? Plenty. Cyberpunk2077. NoMansSky etc.

So you think to yourself ? "Ha ! That. Will never happen to me. I only buy X !"

And then. it happens.

So let me list my own "Failure list".

We understand that your issue may be that the workbench has been removed. Please try the following steps to see if you can place it again.

[Steps]
1. While Inside the Atelier, press and hold the "L Button" or "R Button" and select "building" from the Radial Menu.
2. Press the "Y Button" to open the furniture list.
3. Select the workbench from the list and place it.

First of: I did indeed wait until this game dropped in price, so I did feel safer going in... And this was over a year after it released for the original switch. and soonthereafter it received a patch (just in June. So two months ago from time of writing)

The Issue ? You play the game. Everything works sofar. You go through the games story. Enjoy the characters. Find the gameplay and ways to be able to jump across walls fun.

Until. You are tasked to return back to BASE to "build" something with the crafting workbench

Sure lets do that.

And.? The workbench. The object REQUIRED to advance the story is. GONE Workbench ? We don't have one. Good luck with your playthrough -signed KT

Now what ? Now what ? Well. Contact support - obviously. But others had the same issue (2). A YEAR AGO. So the question arises: What do these companies do, that force you to get a overpriced "ULTIMATE" Edition of a game, just so you can have a pretty dress ? Who knows ? It appears they certainly have no time for lots of bugfixing or even reading on, let alone consider checking the bug reports other than "We will look into it, kthxbye" And the end consumer ? Can they ask for a refund ? Depends: Steam: Yes Sony: Mostly no Nintendo: Very likely no. I personally don't want a refund. But it is very annoying that something that costs good money - even a YEAR after the release, is still in such sorry state. Depending on this I might consider blacklisting some devs for future purchases. Life is too short to wait for patches or chase developers and help them with THEIR DUTY. ... First world problems ? Maybe. However that is exactly the mentality most software firms have nowadays. It's deplorable. And the user cannot be expected to "read up on a game intensifely" until it becomes clear this will be a buggy mess or not.

Edit: You CAN fix this yourself by L (Edit mode) Build Mode Y (list inventory) => Select workbench => place it

So basically everytime you wipe evErYthing, it wipes the workbench too. Great Thinking KoeiTecmo !

Expanding Pedelec (U3 Capacity) via old Scooter Battery

Pedelec Or eBike ?

After some.. unholy tries.

I now decdied it's time to fix the range of my U3 (refurbished) 320 Pedelec by outfitting it with my old E9T Zwheel Scooter battery. That scooter has worked well for a year and it has the best range of any of my vehicles ...

So lets see.

1.) The new battery should fit the 36V criteria. The E9T's does just that.

But the eBike has limited space in its frame (xxxx cm) So we need to remove the actual battery /accu from the shell: enter image description here

There is too much plastic.. ngh... Cut it down and.. Still won't fit enter image description here

Lets apply some gentle pressue a bit (and remove the foam around the accumulator to make it go in better... (No hammer or impact force ! Cells are suceptible to these things !) A little more convincing , using the scredriver to move out the plastic and pliers to remove the upper parts still blocking entry aaand: Almost done. We need it to go in further !

Ok. time to close it down (thankfully I had remembered the exact way this connector goes as it was on a picture of mine from yesterday).

Good. All done. Lets see... -Moment of Truth ... Yes. It turns on...

Ok. It still works. But.. only 4 bars ? ([]----) Hmm. Maybe this will be as terrible as yesterday with the FijiLa -sham-30000mAh Battery...

This on sports a 10Ah at 36 apparantly. (I can then get the charger port from the Scooter and lead it outside easily. -IF- it works.

Time to do a test drive. There are really only two options: a) Battery will last as good as with my Scooter (that cone easily handles 25+ kilometers with slopes and hills no issue) or b) like with Fijila: Die after 6 kilometers. The display literally went out. No staying on 1 bar. Ugh!

Homeautomation aka. "How not to lock yourself out..."

Most rented homes have two doors:

a) Main- Front door

b) Appartment door

And if you walk out of either and the door closes shut (Wind Oh Wind !) then: Yay !

So. For "b" the appartment door, you can install a fingerprint lock (got mine for 70€)

And a ? You cannot change the lock. As other people living in the same appartment complex rely in that lock.

But you can, rig your remote door buzzer: Cue "National Treasure - Preperation Montage Soundtrack"

And then the software (which you will freeze with Shizuku and Hail once done (as rooting is something my smartphones nolonger deserve): Shame this requires logging in to the software to be able to add the remote, but I was able to trigger the clicker without
